- Comments: "Previously reported bird, found by Jay Carroll. It swam over to a bunch of grass that goes into the water on the southwest corner and was no longer visible. It lacked the bright bill of a breeding adult, but showed the white on the flanks and the white undertail."

- Comments: "4-7 hatch-year birds; counted seven as I slowly scanned from south to north and four in one continuous scan from north to south. Three was the most seen together. All were beyond the nearshore kelp and too distant for photos, especially given the 85*F air temperature. Head, face and back dark, appeared all white below, strong white bar at rear of folded wing, preceded by a dark area and then paler area, bill dark, somewhat long neck for alcid."

The bird had brownish upperparts with darker streaks on the back; whitish supercilium, pales lores, clear gray nape and a small pink bill. Underparts were pale. It vocalized a buzzing sound as it flew between shrubs"

- Comments: "Seen in pine tree with mixed flock including: Hutton’s Vireo, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Western Bluebird, House Finch, and Oak Titmouse. Bird foraged along top of tree on inner branches, and around pine cones. Consulted two different field guides and examined SLO County photos of the Bay-breasted Warbler. Bird closely resembled Herb Elliot’s Oct. 7, 2017 image taken at Oso Flaco Lake. White throat, prominent double-white wingbars, buffy under tail and on sides of breast. Green back. Dark eyeline. Pale, broken eyering above and below eye. Will upload some partial and blurry images for ID. *Added note on location: bird seen in one of two adjacent pines east of lakeside restroom parking lot (maybe 20 yards north of paved lakeside path)."
