- Comments: "Adult. Much lighter mantled than Westerns, but similar size. Light iris and pink legs, with black wing tips. Larger than California gulls."

- Comments: "Flew low over our head, skimming the sand dunes. It had obvious white marking s on the wings and was way too big to be a turkey vulture or a hawk. The fingers on the wing and wing shape rule out eagles. It had a black head, and was probably a juvenile. Got bad photos, but good enough to show Id marks. Was flying quickly toward Moro Rock"

- Comments: "Calling bird along the creek from Hardie Park to a little downstream. The bird was foraging when seen and wagged its tail up and down while walking along the creek bank and on willows branches. Heavily streaked below on creamy colored underparts, streaks extended up into throat, long cream colored supercilium, dark brownish above."
