- Comments: "First reported at this location yesterday. Today it was found feeding on the hillside above the maintenance hut and then seen in the large Monterey cypress tree by the campground host. Most prominent features were bright yellow undertails coverts that wrapped up onto the rump, pale yellow wash on pale breast, and a pale eyering. This bird was gray above including the head, and pale below. (photo)"

- Comments: "Bird first reported yesterday. Today it stayed relatively high in Monterey pines in the center of first campground loop (near the camp host). This was a fairly dull individual that was initially picked out by its grayish back with pale braces, a fairly pale supercilium, yellowish throat and upper chest, and a darkish cheek patch with a half eyering below the eye. The bird had two white wingbars and some faint streaking at the side of the breast.It often fed in clumps of pine needles and occasionally perched on open branches. (photo)"
