- Comments: "White throat, Less dark throat stripe, white belly, white undertail covert. Black streaks on sides of belly. Black-and-white streaked back and wings. Long bill. Didn’t spot an eyering—though bird was high and constantly moving. Didn’t get the head pattern memorized. Watched bird forage in deciduous tree north of CASA DIABLO house (North end of park, a few trees north of feeders where water crosses path). Watched bird forage and fly to a few trees, catching up with it each time. Recorded chip calls. More on behavior: It flitted from small branch to small branch, staying stationary for only brief spells. Kind of like a Wilson’s. It flitted mostly on outside branches, but also went to internal branches briefly."
