Red-necked Phalarope, Morro Strand

Not too unusual, but perhaps related to events Bob Chapman noted, there is a Red-necked Phalarope feeding actively at the Alva Paul Creek mouth lagoon at the south end of Morro Strand Campground.  Earlier today, there had also been an adult Green Heron there, but when I came back with camera, it was either further up the creek and not visible or just gone. The beach had an unusual amount of kelp washed ashore as well.  Photo of phalarope later today.
