Harlequin Duck at Estero Bluffs State Park

Today a Harlequin Duck was observed in the surf with two Mallards and a mix of about 30 gulls in the same location as in past years: Estero Bluffs State Park, by the "white rock" below the Fig Tree access. It is either a hatch-year bird (sex unknown) or an adult female.

Last sighting of this species (adult male and female of unknown age) at this location was March 15, 2018.
