I walked the north end of Estero Bluffs this morning: 4 Surfbirds, including one juvenile; an adult (beautiful) Ruddy Turnstone; one juvenile Willet; 6 Western Sandpipers that included one juvenile; plus an adult dowitcher I could not ID to species. On the way through the grassland there was a Loggerhead Shrike.
Earlier in the day I had seen a subadult Bonaparte's Gull briefly at Toro Creek, scared off quickly by a person. I heard Elegant Terns through the fog, but only saw one.
