Better late than never:
Sunday along Little Morro Creek Road we saw an adult CHIPPING SPARROW by #1400. In the area there also was a GREAT HORNED OWL.
In the Red-tailed Hawk nest by mailbox 1010 (although probably not the correct address) a fuzzy, white top of a head (with beak and eyes) was sticking over the edge for a brief moment in time. An adult Red-tailed hawk was being mobbed by a Western Scrub Jay not too far away. Further up the road a house finch was feeding a fledgling in an avocado tree. The palm trees were bustling with more House Finches, some Kingbirds and Hooded Orioles.
