Re: Running SDRangel under MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 - Problem

Is someone in this group who was able to compile SDRangel on MACos?

It would be great if the file can be shared. I run into errors since weeks and dont see any effort. :-(

Re: Where to download sdrangel for Windows??

Thanks for the link Edouard.

I downloaded the file sdrangel_v4.0.4.7z and extracted it. So far, I have been unable to get it to work with my nanov3. The nano does work with sdr#.

I'm using Windows 7 pro 64 bit. The PC uses an Intel core 3 (not AMD). The radio display comes up, but I can't figure out how to turn on the radio. Also, I don't seem to be able to get a list of devices. I did have it once and may have made the wrong selection. Now I don't seem to be able to find the list (nano was not on the list and I chose the RTL). Also, I can't change the frequency.

Did I download the correct file?

Should it work with my PC which does not have an AMD processor?

Best regards,

John, WoGN

John,

Yes, you downloaded the correct file, and it works perfectly here on an Intel processor.

I'm not sure where all the settings are held, but if you are comfortable with the registry editor you could try closing the program and deleting (or better, renaming) the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\f4exb

That should perform a "factory reset".

I've only used an Airspy Mini.

To get a list of devices:

- Ensure that in the top menu, Window, Sampling devices control is checked.

- In the Sampling devices control box, click the finger pressing button icon (top right of the window, has a "Change sampling device" pop-up hint.

Perhaps the information in the Wiki would be helpful to you?

Hi John,

well, the Windows builds have returned and the readme hasn't been updated I think. You will normally find all binary packages in the releases section of the Github repository:
https://github.com/f4exb/sdrangel/releases

Note that the latest for Windows is 4.0.4 not 4.0.5 as the latest does not bring any new functionality for Windows.

Where to download sdrangel for Windows??

John

Hi,

I recently saw a video where K2GOG used sdrangel v3.8.5 to receive DMR signals with a NANO3 dongle using Windows 64 bit.

I cannot find anyplace to download any Windows version; K2GOG's link is to the newest version which is linux only.

Can someone provide a link to the latest Widows version? My PC is a 64 bit Intel (not AMD) using Windows 7 64 bit.

I know this software is now linux, but I'm hoping someone can point me to an usable windows version.

Best regards,

John, WoGN

Re: How to save the last configuration ?

Edouard Griffiths

Only the first device set (R0) configuration gets saved. For the others you have to use presets.
You should save your device set configuration in a preset then when you restart the application and have created a default source or sink device set you select the device and then load the preset.
You may also use a configuration script that uses the rest API but this is a lot more involved.
Brgds, Edouard.

Re: How to save the last configuration ?

I have the same problem with the config not saving…
or it just saves the RX config not the TX config…

Both in Windows and Linux
Its pretty tedious re setting everything…

So exactly where do the config files reside?
and is there an .ini somewhere to look at?

I did save to and external file as well…but
didn’t look at its content yet.

How to save the last configuration ?

f5mwa

Hello everybody,

Can you please tell me how to save the last configuration (the windows positions).
I have to reconfigure everything each time I start SDRAngel (I've the latest Windows build).
Saving the presets does not help.

Thanks -73

Thank you .., Sigi

Yesterday I found the information I was looking for. I think that it should be possible to receive some of the transponders of this link:

Windows Builds

Thanks, Edouard!

I slightly modified your windows.install.bat file so that the entire
installation can be done with a single click once the compilation is
complete.

The file is at http://w3sz.x10.mx/W3SZwindows.install.txt

The .txt needs to be changed to .bat to use the file, of course.

Using the file should be self explanatory. If anyone has questions on its use, please mail me off-list

Re: DATV Settings

Hello,

DATV stands for Digital Amateur TV and is not intended for broadcast. This flavor decodes DVB-S only not DVB-S2. Moreover you have to understand a little bit things about DSP. You want to decode a transmission at 22 MS/s symbol rate and use a RTL-SDR at 2.4 MS/s don't you think there could be something wrong here?

Best regards, Edouard.

DATV Settings

Hello,

Satellite dish individual, Astra 19,2 LNB Universal 9750-10,600
Transponder 10.847 V, Symbols rate 22000-5 / 6, Cannel LTC (La Tienda en Casa)
IF=10847-9750 --->  tuning in 1097 QPSK 22000000 5/6

I can not decode
Where is my mistake?
Thank you very much to all

Okay, no problem. I still think this would be good in the long run. When I have time, I will try to set it up and if I succeed I'll open a Pull Request.

Thanks, Filipe Laíns

Re: Why not setup a proper CI for Windows?

Didn't know about AppVeyor indeed it looks free for Open Source projects. I am afraid however that this is going to be a nightmare to set up with Qt and all the dependencies. I have better things to do so I am not into this sorry.
Best regards, Edouard.

Re: Why not setup a proper CI for Windows?

Hey Edouard,

What do you mean? AppVeyor is free, and it can export the build artifacts to Github releases, which is also free. I don't follow.

Thanks, Filipe Laíns

Re: Saving Settings

Edouard Griffiths

This is a bug. It is deleting the commands in the UI instead... However the corresponding presets are deleted and will not appear if you close and open SDRangel again.

Hello,
this would mean paying for a cloud hosted solution so the answer is no.
