Hi Fabio,

Tns for explains.

In datasheet Pluto has 12bits AD/DC, if someone has information to compile?

So I try to compile for testing (hi), and I have this message:

f1ssf@debian:/opt/build/sdrangel/build$ cmake -Wno-dev -DDEBUG_OUTPUT=ON -DRX_SAMPLE_24BIT=OFF
CMake Warning:
No source or binary directory provided.  Both will be assumed to be the
same as the current working directory, but note that this warning will
become a fatal error in future CMake releases.
CMake Error: The source directory "/opt/build/sdrangel/build" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.
Specify --help for usage, or press the help button on the CMake GUI.

Do you know why ?

it is practice makes perfect ;-)

Explaining of all those lines would be quite complicated admittedly. If you never compiled a tool on Linux, sdrangel is not the easiest to start with.

What you are doing with those commands is downloading the latest version from github (with "git clone") and then building it with the commands that follow.
The options to the "cmake" command are on multiple lines (separated by '\'). Please note that it will work only if you have followed the previous instructions literally.

In the end you will find the executable in /opt/install/sdrangel/bin

you can create a symbolic link wherever in your PATH variable to be able to execute from anywhere.
For instance,
ln -s /opt/install/sdrangel/bin/sdrangel /usr/local/bin/sdrangel

Hi there,

I'm stuck with my Bladerf 2 running SDRAngel.
Rx is perfect, Tx works, but I'm getting only -40dBm out.
My PC is a bit slow, 50% CPU-load in Win7 ultimate.
Could anyone give me a hand solving this problem?
Thanks very much in advance!

Re: Enabling local sdrangel GUI to fully control/operate with remote instance of sdrangelsrv.

Very briefly...

The server flavor: https://github.com/f4exb/sdrangel/wiki/SDRangel-server
Then on server side you need a channel plugin like this: https://github.com/f4exb/sdrangel/tree/master/plugins/channelrx/remotesink
On client side (heavyweight app): https://github.com/f4exb/sdrangel/tree/master/plugins/samplesource/remoteinput

Brgds,
Edouard.

Hello.
Is there any step-by-step tutorial about how to achieve this?
I'd like to send the I/Q stream over the network from a system that only has a command line interface, to a desktop system. Is that achievable or a GUI is required?
Many thanks. :-)

Hello everyone, here's a newbie question.
Running SDRAngel on Linux, git commit acd08925368ba1ee2f35469314abdc4dea02a1fe (v 4.12.1).
Hardware is RTL-SDR.

I was trying to tune to FM broadcast radio and demodulate it.
The spectrum though looks quite "bad" - the peaks aren't much as expected and they are low.
Here's a pic when showing the "max hold" (red line) : https://ibb.co/kD8g0sd

I fiddled with the antenna to no avail.

Then I tried gqrx and surprisingly the signal looked much neather: several clean spikes as one would expect on the FM broadcast range 88-108.
Here's a pic:

So I guess it's a matter of configuration.
What could have I done wrong?

I found the answer ten minutes later. Sorry for having bothered you.
I post it in case it could be useful to other newcomers:

It was the gain. I needed to turn it up:

It seems like the gqrx defaults were more suited to this FM broadcast listening task maybe.
Afterwards I got a clean FFT:

Thanks :-)

SDRangel under MacOS Mojave with HackRF and RTLsdr #osx

Andre Neitzel

Edited

Hello Group,

long time i searched for methods, versions with runs SDRangel under MacOS with my RTL and HackRF. I future starts here:

I would share info that SDRangel is now available under MacOS featuring "mac ports". If you have "ports" installed under MacOS you only need to:

sudo port install sdrangel -soapysdr -limesuite -funcube -airspyhf -airspy +gui +hackrf +native +rtlsdr

Attention:

„-soapysdr“ is recommended because SDRangel has native support for hackRF with +hackrf and soapysdr also supports hackrf - which ends up in a version with using soapy for communicate with hackRF. Soapy hackrf support is little bit buggy. I noticed strange behavior in using sliders for gain, LNA etc. So exclude soapy during install.

If you use HackRF Portapack (like me) you need a portapack firmware without the serial nr. bug. SDRangel needs read out the serial from hackRF to work.

This one is known as good (you can verify that with hackrf_info): https://jboone.github.io/portapack-havoc-nightly/

Hope it helps!

Regards André (happy SDRangel user)

Hello Andrea,

welcome to the group! The short answer is: no. The longer answer is that it seems the libperseus-sdr library is working in the MinGW context but the SDRangel Windows build is based on MSVC.

Trying to connect to my kiwisdr on my local network. Documentation says that this is to connect publicly available kiwisdr. Does this mean I can not connect to my kiwisdr which is not publicly available. When I try to connect the indicator goes yellow then magenta.
