Re: Final FMAC 2m results published
Thanks Dom, looks like I’ve got muddled along the way. Hopefully a few points will appear under the UKAC. Have a good Christmas. Bob

Re: Final FMAC 2m results published
Hi Bob, unless you were just entering a checklog, then you can't claim points 'in both sections'; by 'both sections' I presume you mean the 10w section and the 50w section? You would have had to have entered a log for just one of the sections (10w or 50w) or otherwise it will have probably been discounted if you had tried to enter it for both.
Alternatively, if by sections you mean the 2m FMAC and the 2m UKAC, then these are two completely separate contests. This is just the result from the 2m FMAC. Below is a list off all the people from the club who entered logs for the 2m FMAC throughout 2021. This will not include people who have uploaded just checklogs. 73, Dom, 2E0WHQ

Re: Final FMAC 2m results published
Great news but looks like my entry went astray as I claimed for the club in both sections? It should have been even more points I think. Bob

Re: Final FMAC 2m results published
I wasn't being remiss by not mentioning this achievement and passing on my congratulations to the club, I was just holding off from making the announcement until the 70cm FMAC results were release, which hopefully should be in the next couple of days and then I would have made it an even bigger announcement (hopefully).
However, seeing as it's now been mentioned, a huge congratulations to the entire club on your achievement. Watch this space for a bigger announcement in the coming days. 73, Dom, 2E0WHQ.

And just as an experiment, I dropped my power down to 10w and then worked him again using my M6WHQ callsign.

I've just worked France, F5LMG on FT8 using my Diamond V2000 colinear.

Yes it’s been very lively this week and Spain. Ireland, various Scandinavian countries etc heard. I believe some with big antennas may have gone into Eastern Europe by way of conversation I heard. Bob G0VTA

Re: Tonight's 70cm FMAC - THANK YOU!

I feel a bit like Peter Snow on election night with his Swingometer with this one, but things are looking promising.
I've just had a quick check of the logs entered for the RSGB 432MHZ FMAC and out of the 17 club members I heard on the air, including myself, 12 have entered logs in to the RSGB for the contest, so that's brilliant. The total number of QSOs across those 12 logs came to 219. Our closest rival, Gloucester AR&ES, who were sitting just 162 points behind us in 3rd place, have so far entered 3 logs totalling 40 QSOs. Our second closest rival, Tall Trees CG, who were sitting in 4th place and 4,310 points behind us, have so far entered 5 logs totalling 42 QSOs. Now points are awarded for distance and not volume, however, seeing as we have about 5 times the volume of QSOs than our nearest rivals, I think that we're in with a good chance of a positive result at holding on to that 2nd place. Strangely enough, if we were to maintain this volume of enthusiasm and dedication all year round, I actually think we could give the Hereford Club a run for their money! Anyone up for that in 2022? It will of course require your dedication to the cause. 😁 73, Dom, 2E0WHQ

Wow! Marc, what incredible bad luck!
You should have given me a shout and I would have come and pulled you out with the Land Cruiser. It would have probably made light work of it. Thanks for trying, that definitely shows commitment and we now have another story to go down in SDARC history! 😊 Glad you're all OK and nothing damaged, other than pride. See you tomorrow.

Hi All,
I'm so sorry for not getting to the party last night. I was all loaded up with yagi, mast, radio, sandwiches, torches, etc. and made my way to Uffington. Unfortunately, I missed the turning for the car park and ended up taking the next turning along. This is a track going up Knighton Hill. I realised I was in the wrong place when I got to the top so turned round at the end. I was running late so decided I would operate from the crest of Knighton Hill instead. I pull over and, unfortunately, my front wheels immediately burried themselves in deep mud. Once those wheels went in, they were not coming back out ..... I won't bore you with further details but I ended up calling out a 24 hour tow truck from Swindon to rescue me and am now £120 poorer. I was livid, can't believe my own stupidity. Sorry again .... Marc

Tony (G4LDL)
The SSB session was strange with lots of huge QSB. G4FZN in IO94 was a good signal all evening. I was called by 2 French stations and a PA but I didn't hear a whisper from GD or GM, nor did I hear anyone else working them. Unusual since I can normally hear one of the GDs even if I can't work them. Wonder if my location was too high and it was ducting lower down! LDL/P.
