Maybe the item isn't selected. Hit Shift+A, you should hear one item selected, then do Control+Shift+O.

a lot of Useful tips in your reply, but according to what I heard in a recent live performance,I trust the singer to do great takes if he feels comfortable. So I won't need to Edit, Pitch

Depends how much editing there's gonna be. If it's an intentionally live vibe, they're gonna be doing straight takes or you'll only be doing light comping with the acoustic/vocal takes always staying

You can fade out an item by selecting it, going to the place in the item where you want the fade out to start e.g. moving by bars and beats or by using the control J jump dialogue, and then
