Action instead of words! - RDA

HA6FQ #1377 Hi! It seems to me completely unnecessary to ask for acceptance of dual zones (RA3R - his position is clear), therefore I have sent the letters (upload request) to the operators of the dual zones that I have problems with. Please do the same - I hope colleagues will do the uploads to the new site and the situation will be resolved! SM6LRR #1379 Common sense is when those stations finally upload. Several of them I have addressed with emails weeks ago. One or a few have helped. The majority so far ignored the message. Again, rigidity to "follow the rules" is creating bad PR for the RDA program. That as always, a few try to disregard an obvious problem, is part of humaity. A debate about this matter did not even need to occur, if acknowledgement of an exceptional situation had been done. Again, this is not the fault of activators. It is the fault of non-existant procedures for backups. We are all "customers"to RDA program. Customers are usually right... Individual emails begging activators to upload, becomes collective spamming. We all miss more or less the same RDAs. The program responsible who failed with necessary backup routines, is the one that should write the letters - not the "customers". That's how I would have handled it, as owner of the RDA program. HA3LN #1380 Hi Den & All, I did ask Yuri UA9JLL about the HM-15/HM-38 operation and uploads. Yuri clarified that this Hamlog upload was corrupted. Even if he saw this immediately tried to fix but was not possible to delete from the system. The correct RDAs for this activation were OM-15/OM-38. s52d #1381 Hi! I send 4 spam E-mails, no response. Looks like whoever can and want to re-upload, will do. There is a lot of reasons why someone will not upload. We shall work missing RDAs again and consider any QSL from past as pure luck. I would be surprised to see R7PKS uploading. And there are others who are out of RDA program, and even do not put RDA on QSL card. We all worked them even before. Some simply can not to it: SK, illness, prison: they can not do it. Some LOGs were lost: fire, burglars, broken disks etc. Others are no more at home and do not have access to LOGs. Some do not care any more: married, divorced, promoted... Just look around how many OPs you know do not upload to LotW and why. SO, again: Aadu did great job. We lost big HAM and friend. We are lucky to have confirmed most of QSOs and we hope to work again others soon. 73 gl Iztok, s52d

I repeat, UNTIL today's data, just a few days after the manual check started. -------------------------------------------- Circumstances relating to the reference ''county line-log only'': 440 cases ACTIVATORS involved: 78 HUNTERS affected: 108 --------------------------------------------- Please MULTIPLY those numbers by 100, even 200 or 300 times, or maybe more, for the near future... Very few hunters have uploaded cards for manual checking into the system so far. There are many hunters who have not been informed yet. So imagine all the thousands of HUNTERS start sending emails to ACTIVATORS. It's crazy, isn't it? Yes, it is time for action and not for words. We all agree. But not by HUNTERS individually! It is not logical!!! Matt's suggestion, which many of us agree with, is absolutely correct. A reasonable exception due to the unique circumstances of this period ONLY would do good to the credibility of the program. From now on, YES, the recently posted rules by the program will apply. Unless Roman manages to sync HAMLOG/HQSL directly with AUTOCNF RDA as soon as possible. I will not comment further because it is a waste of time. It must be clearly understood, there is absolutely NO any personal rivalry. But pretending, not to understand the magnitude, the severity, the source, and the effect of this problem is something that many of us can not understand why it really happens. Thank you

Mike Eccles #1384 I was a very keen and active RDA hunter until November, 2022. Now with all the confusion, and the on-going new website development I have stoped RDA hunting. it is a great shame as the original RDA program was a great ham radio activity. I really hope the current problems will be solved, the new website completed, and we can start enjoying RDA hunting again. Mike, GM3PPE

SM6LRR #1385 Mike, The new site looks great. The next step that I know Andrey is working on is the badly needed English version. Another great feature will be a more advanced map function. In reality functionality is great. With the approaching spring and summer, mobile activity will increase again. Be assured RDA-hunting will be as exciting as before. The ongoing discussion is just related to tweaking from mydx to rdaward.ru. Nothing dramatic really, but the bridging from July 17th 2022 and Jan 2023 still has a few nuances. Keep spirits high. Both Roman and Andrey are dedicated and skilled.
