Re: How about e-QSL?

Tord!
I stopped accepting eQSL for one
reason, I am not satisfied with the QSO offset algorithm, when you
can easily confirm the RDA without even conducting a QSO, but send
your log to the correspondent.
No one checks the QSO, but presses the
cfm button!

Rudy!
There is a strict rule for HQSL, the
correct RDA number must be specified in the corresponding HQSL
field. In this case, the area is counted automatically when the
databases are synchronized.
All other options are rejected.

Roman, while answering this topic, please comment on this as well.
EQSL used to be accepted, together with cmfrda database. I tried to upload old eqsl (QSO before August 1st, 2020) and it was rejected. Same QSO would probably be accepted half a year earlier.... Best 73, gl Iztok, s52d form rda page: 9.07.2020 Attention!

Yes Christian, I’m aware of that message regarding e-QSL’s for RDA.
Now since a while e-QSL service offer users a special labeling of Authorization Guaranteed on their QSL’s. That is after going through a special routine by sending copy of your license etc.
I would like to know Romans standpoint about those QSL’s In my case with card yesterday it had clearly a printed RDA and also that “AG” label.

How about e-QSL?
Tord Julander
Hi Roman,
Not even accepting e-QSL’s with the ”AG” (Authorization Guaranteed) label? Is that going to happen in the future? Sent one yesterday and got in rejected.

Re: lotw-import

Dear Chris!
Yes, if the second column is empty, it
means that this call sign was in one RDA all the time, different
options and different dates are indicated in the second column,
just for LoTW, you can not upload a scan if several RDA are
specified in the RDA database for one date. The station changed
its position and LoTW does not give an accurate RDA, such scans
are rejected.
And the third column is the source of
information, you are right.

Hi, Iztok!

I understand, but I would not be sure about correct info... LotW and Clublog mostly use data from QRZ.com and many of them are wrong. QTH loc, County... Only relevant data for RDA is Autocfm, mydx and Hamlog... or QSL card. Many of Russian stations are not on LotW and specially mobile and portable ststions. Latest are not. 73, GL, Dino, 9A2NO

Hi!
Dino, I was refering to LotW export of data for RDA award like DXCC and WPX etc. There is some work on TQSL/LotW to implement RDA properly. I assume it gets higher priority if there is some extra income planned. 73 Z, GL Iztok, S52D

Just in LotW open details of confirmed QSO, push "Print Screen" / copy/past- open Irfan view -> paste and you have picture.

LotW does not charge to see your own log and charge nothing untill you ask for award...and does not charge for upload your QSO... Irfanview is free, LotW is free to participate and upload QSO. Don't complcate with no reason. 73 Dino, 9A2NO

I personally use XnViewMP, a 100% free without any adware Image Viewer that have screenshot capabilities. Yes, it is extra work but no money charged and works perfectly for RDA confirmation. 73 de Thierry, F4GVO

On LotW and RDA:
IMHO there might be a problem with DXCC/UL/RDA checking. Especially with disputed EU/AS border, where ARRL/CQ and Russians disagree. So, some UA9 stations are not able to put proper UL into theit QTH data in TQSL. If database UL/RDA is created (probably it exists, or it might be reasonable to generate from R1CF maps), it might help TQSL/LotW developers to include RDA as well. As a side effect: mydx.eu often reports UL as RDA in "Station online" list. Just now, RA2FCD is reported as KO-04, but this is locator KO04. Such dB might help to filter out wrong spots. Also... ARRL likes money. They do not like export as screenshot: they prefer to charge few cents for every export, like they do for DXCC, WPX and other awards. My two kopeykas. 73 DSW Iztok, S52D
