Tough Sledding for #7 Tonite

DupyRail

Not a good day for then today. They got hit by the Oakwood detector on the C & M. They got out on time in Milw and were a little ahead of time at Pewaukee. They then got hit by the Hartland detector, axle 24, north rail. Craig is surmising this is the same car they had a few weeks ago. They then start proceeding at 30 mph for 5 miles and then hit a lawnmower and tire between Mp 110-111 at Hartland. After checking over things, they proceeded again, only to find more junk on the track in the same area. Sounds like they are now stopped again taking care of this problem.

Geesz, what next?

Subject: Altoona Sub w/b rock train

Good Morning,

I'm not track side this morning but heard UP 4102 - a w/b train approaching the swing bridge in Hudson referred to himself as a rock train - 9:05 Sunday morning. More ballast for somewhere east? This train has warrants to Yukon Jct. where it sounds like it will be taking the siding (clear main track at last named point). This w/b train met the e/b Z-train at MP 6.5 earlier this morning.

It might be worth watching for if someone is out and about in the snow this morning.

Have a good day!

Check out my web page for the video of the Holiday train at Pewaukee. Could be better and some spots of water got on the lens as it was starting to rain. :-(

Need to correct myself, it is the Soo 6045 following them, not the CP 6045

CP-9825 arrived in Hartland on the advertised. After leaving, they will be making a quick stop at Columbus to presumably discharge passengers for the nite.

ADM has recently acquired Olsons CO-OP in Stockton, WI on the CN Neenah sub. They plan to put a loop track in. Should be interesting, last time I was by there they had the new switch laying next to I imagine the location that they want it. just an FYI

Pass the word. I know the Wisconsin people always ask me to alert them when a detour is planned. These are always short notice.

This is a RARE mileage trip. Fares start roundtrip about $125 to $250.

Re: Fw: Ongoing Spam Attacks

Casey Heinzism

I also had a spam attack worm get into my original DNatureofDTrain yahoo account, so I changed all my yahoo groups to this. I also realized learned this from this issue.

- Do not use the contacts list. Put all your contacts into a document or even email a list of them to yourself .. then you can click the email to open a new email instead of the worm using the coding to spread contacts I keep my contacts now on a flash drive not even on the computer .. not only to keep them safe from worms but possible hackers

- Web only all the groups I was on that was just web only the worm bounced back from and did not go to the list. So I recommend if you do not want to empty your contacts book to participate with the groups on web only ..

- put your own email in your contacts list and put 0 or 1 in front of your name then you will get an email from yourself if something hit it ..

- Change your passwords often make them really long like 18 numbers and letters ...

- Add spam abuse reporting emails to your contacts list. Then you know if you get a worm it will immediately report itself ...

- Never be afraid to email the person who sent you a suspicious link or call or im them to confirm if they emailed you something lately or a link.

My own Links will usually be linked to youtube, or a DNatureofDTrain site.. However on this particular group I do not have much in common to share.. So I usually just lurk :) ... And enjoy reading what everyone else has to share and I do enjoy it.. I sometimes feel like a broken record telling everyone I love their photos, or videos.. and I tend to be controversial in commenting so I shy from it at times.

Well, Hope these tips all help the group.. I recommend Avast free virus scan.. if your current scan is not working well I tried many through the years and I swear up and down Avast is the best! .

Take care everyone,
- Casey Heinzism

Subject: ICRR Sightings MODERATOR - Ongoing Spam Attacks

Please note that the Yahoo Groups are still undergoing a spam assault. If you see that your email address is attached to messages which did not originate with you, that means your email address has been hijacked. You need to :

Change your internet access password immediately.
Run anti-virus software.

Group members whose email address displays spam messages will be placed on moderated status until they have a chance to clear up their situation. Nothing personal--happened to me not long ago. But if you see that this is happening, please do address it right away. It could mean your computer is infected with a virus which may or may not be doing other bad stuff to your personal information.

Members - DO NOT open messages which have no subject line, or have "Re:" as a subject line, or "unknown," etc. These are nearly always spam and the links nearly always are viruses.

Thank you.
