State tabs disappearing

Stevens, Willie

Good morning,

Any other hosted customers suddenly experience a loss of access to the state tabs? With the recent update, we were glad to finally have the ability to hide the tabs that aren't relevant to us as a High School only district (early childhood, birth to 3, etc.). However, all of a sudden and with no change made to the tabs that should be visible, now every time we pull up a student after initially loading and showing all tabs, only the General and Demo tabs remain visible. No changes to anything via CPM and no new plugins installed, just all of a sudden at about 11:30 while on the phone with someone they alerted me that all other tabs disappeared though they had been actively using them and verifying some data. Disabling customization, using a different browser, and even attempting to use my cellphone in case of internal network issues all had the same results. A high priority case has been opened, so at this point I'm just trying to gauge whether we are in a very unique situation or if others are also seeing this. Just really odd to have happened mid-day 4 days after the update. If anything, I would have expected it to happen the very next time I logged into the system after the change.

Thanks

It looks like the school-level settings are not working correctly. I just tested it out and hid all ones that don't apply to my district (prenatal, birth to 3, etc) and then hid the ones that don't apply at each school (don't need pre-id for Pre-K and don't need Early Childhood tabs at middle school). However, tabs that I hid at any school are hiding at all schools even if they are enabled at the school I'm looking at. I reverted to just hiding the district-level unneeded tabs.

I have a case open too, and randomly this morning all of my tabs disappeared as well. Going to "District" -> "Customize Student Information tab" and making a change and submitting gave a warning that it would reset the school-level preferences. That is okay, as it fixed the issue for now. Seems like the district-level settings are working fine, it is school level settings that are causing strange issues. So at the very least you can still hide some of the ones you'll never need at any school.
