Subject: [galicia] JRI-Poland Adds New Data for Galician Towns

I am proud to announce that JRI-Poland has recently added record indices for a number of towns in Galicia to our online database at http://www.jri-poland.org/jriplweb.htm. All the following data comes from the AGAD Archive in Warsaw.

- Bialy Kamien 1897-1913 deaths - Drohobycz 1914 births, marriages, and deaths
- Horodenka 1909-1913 births - Komarno 1905-1914 marriages
- Kozowa 1877-1913 marriages - Podhajce 1902, 1909-1910 birth index data and 1901, 1903 death index data (These are extracts of data from index books for years where the actual records have not survived.)
- Podwoloczyska 1883-1911 marriages
- Stryj 1914 births, 1914 marriages, 1906-1914 deaths

As many of you know, JRI-Poland has been linking our index entries to the images of records that are placed online by the AGAD Archive. For these new record indices, links have not yet been created. Our Database Manager will be creating links to nearby images for those records where images exist. We will make that announcement when the links are completed. Happy Hanukkah to all and we hope that this data will bring some "light" to your holiday. Mark Halpern JRI-Poland AGAD Archive Coordinator ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
