There are two main types of PCB router bits (by router bits I mean routing slots for de-panelizing, etc. for for trace isolation routing.) The Diamond Cut router bit: http://www.soigeneris.com/precisebits_diamond_cut_router_bits-details.aspx , these are the best all-around bit providing a good material removal rate with good edge finish. The Chip Breaker router bits: http://www.soigeneris.com/precisebits_chip_breaker_router_bits-details.aspx have a slightly higher material removal rate but do not produce as good a surface finish. When talking about the material removal rate the difference between the two is slight but if you are running a commercial board house then even a slight improvement can yield a good time savings. For most uses I recommend the Diamond Cut bits for the better finish and usefulness for a variety of composites.
