OK Art, learned again. Not only EagleCad and PCB-gcode but also Mach3 to control the mill. Jos art.eckstein@wirelesshometown.com> wrote: [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Milling text placed on Milling Layer.
OK John, I had a look at the example and things started to get clearer. I reloaded my board , mirrored the text, checked the font is a vector and ran PCB-gcode.ulp It turned out to be what I expected.

Component Pads on PCB too small !!
I have managed to generate and mill a small pcb. Spacing is set at 0.254 , minimum. The resulting pcb looks good, but the pads to be drilled are so small that a 0.8 mm dril ( I use this for most pads)

OK, JJ That did help. All my settings were too big. First I removed the GND Polygon from my Eagle layout and the pcb-gcode started to be visible in my backplot program (CNC Backplot editor ). However

I could generate good G-code thanks to the directions Paul gave me, BUT, after the first couple of milling try-outs I found that the bit went in a bit too deep. So I worked on the pcb-gcode-setup.ulp
