check a later post. I put it in gcode-defaults.h in probably a less than optimalplace but it does what I want.

Maybe I should do what you suggest.  It makes more sense.

Look for the option which defines the header and the end of code generated. Maybe there you can find a way.

florin, I know this. 

I can add these lines to the end of every G-Code file I generate, but that requires time and since I want it in every file I do, I want to change something in the pcbgcode.ulp so that it does it automatically. 

Right now what I'm getting is it lifts the tool to Z1.0000 and then shuts down.

So the real question is where in the pcbgcode is this action found?

There is a command just for automatic change of tool. All that you need is to add after that G00 Z1.000 a new line with G91 G28 Z0. This will lift your tool to the "Home Z position". You need to add after this, the command G90 for return to "Absolute coordinate system".

I am trying out Timo Birnstein's version of pcb-gcode and with his implementation of several rounds for milling out the board, I think it is feasible for that task.

But where is the definition for the diameter, pcb-gcode is using to calculate the offset to get the correct board dimension?

Hi Aurelien!

I, too, searched for the "best" version of this ULP and dug through the versions you referenced above.

I found:
The original V3.6.2.4 is the standard version without any enhancements, working more or less flawlessly, but has its drawbacks.
- If you enable "spot drill" AND enable "drill holes", your router will try to mark (spot drill) your holes with full depth, ruining your board and your V-shaped bit.
  There are workarounds written, look for "Alexander Arkusha, he describes what to do against it (afterwards you get spot drills with the defined shallow depth and drilled holes which go through completely).

Your second and third references are identical.

The last reference has all known improvements applied, including a means of defining the number of passes to use to cut out the board.
Additionally it has the option implemented to carve both sides of the trench around a signal with the same cutting direction (climbing or not climbing) resulting in well done edges on both sides of the trench.

I use the cheap v-bits for milling the perimeter (cutting out the board).

I use 0.5 mm end mills for the isolation pass with a depth of 3 mils (~0.08 mm). The only way this works is using the Autoleveler program Gaston mentioned. I don't take any special care to level the board. My CNC bed is fly cut but I use a piece of scrap wood on top of the bed and attach the PCB blank to the board with double sided carpet tape. I typically set the Autoleveler to probe the board about every 1/2 inch (~12mm). Flooding the board with a thin layer of cutting oil after probing and before cutting gives much cleaner traces. The oil also keeps the dust down. I use a 0.8 mm drill for all holes and hand drill or ream larger holes after machining is complete.

I only make single sided boards and seldom design traces less than 20 mils (~0.5mm). 

I like following this group as I'm always ready to learn better ways.
