I don't know if any of you have had the message copied below directly but I suspect that this, taken together with today's government advice regarding non-essential social contact, means that the rest of this sessions club meetings will have to be cancelled.
I was sent it as a member of the OU Badminton club as tonights club night was cancelled.
What does everyone else think? It is 3 weeks until the April meeting so we do have a bit of time to let people know if the meeting isn't going to take place.

As you will all be aware the UK is facing an unprecedented risk associated with the spreading of the Coronavirus.
With this in mind the University has taken the decision to cancel ALL Affiliated Clubs with immediate effect until further notice. Please ensure you contact your members and advise them of this decision immediately and advise any external members/instructors not to attend campus as they will not be allowed access to the rooms.
Please ensure you remove your bookings from the resource scheduler for the non OU Club areas (Hub, CMR etc) I will be removing your bookings from Club areas (Church, Club Studio, Pavilion Activity Room/Outfields, Football Pitch & Green Room) on the resource scheduler.
Please note that this instruction is non-negotiable.

1st Crownhill Brownies have asked to visit on Thursday 26 March
6:30-7:45 Could you email me if you are able to assist? We only need 3 guides but it is great if we have more. I'd appreciate a prompt reply as they need to make plans. They have offered later dates but it is getting lighter and 26th
March has some good viewing opportunities if the weather plays
ball.

Jens Meeus books
Sheridan,
I wonder if I could ask a favour of you, namely to bring a couple of Meeus's books this evening. There are two I'm interested in: - Atsronomical Algorithms (2nd ed) - Computer calculations (I don't know if the title is correct, but there was a reference to it in one of the webpages I was reading recently.) I just want to see if the process for calculating the Az/Alt given Right Ascension and Declination is there, and if it within my capabilities, both mental and computer-oriented. If they're right, I'll dash off and get my own copies from Abe Books. I ask this because I have a acquired a number of astronomy books, but none so far has provided a tractable answer to my questions. Best wishes, Adrian -- Adrian

on my Google calendar, I'm down to help at the event on Thursday, but not on Wednesday (tomorrow). This is still the case, but with a social summersault I might be able to become free on Wednesday. (we were going to have supper with a friend in Oxford at 6:30pm. Our friend might be willing to postpone until later in the evening). I have a good friend and neighbour, whom you know, Robert Meardon. He said he would be happy to help out tomorrow. Also, he might be able to help on Thursday: he's going to Greenwich and might not be back in time.
