There was an impressive double decker paddle wheel boat on the Coquille river for a few years upstream from Bandon doing tours and serving as lodging. It would shut down hiway 101 regularly forcing the bridge to open when the captain asserted his rights to the navegable channel. Tings used it to bring down log booms to the last mill there through the 70’s. Quite a local controversy. They went bust and somehow did an open ocean passage to Newport, where they tried to open as a B&B. I suppose they did the trip with a boat following and survival suits ready at hand(?) I believe Covid shut it down, but last time I was there it was for sale…
