First Messabout of 2022 Next Saturday -- Beaver Creek
Weather gods willing, we'll pole, paddle, row, or (electric) motor up Beaver Creek next Saturday. The one between Waldport and Seal Rock:

Beaver Creek is a great place to go. It is all flat water with lots of marsh life, birds and interesting things! The only weather caution is around the put-in area when the winter winds are really high. Otherwise it has enough shelter to tame down the ocean weather.
As has been noted before, the location of the put-in is not clear from the write-up. It is the ramp right at Hwy 101. At Ono Beach State Park, you turn East from 101 onto North Beaver Creek Road. Go a hundred feet or so and then turn South into the parking lot and ramp. It has ample parking and an easy put-in. I'm not able to make it this year. A couple of days before Christmas they installed a pacemaker in me. I'm 100% now, but not allowed to do things like paddling for a month or so because of the new hardware. I'll come next year! Everybody enjoy the outing! Bob |

I hope all of your holidays were good ones. The Beaver Creek trip is one I was hoping to go on but this year I'm going to be missing out. My excuse isn't as needed as Bob's but I won't be ready with my foul weather gear and as we all know it's needed this time of year. Maybe John, we can meet up there instead of Triangle Lake and since my last out of house working day is tomorrow. I work Saturdays and one of my trucks taillights is out otherwise I'd love to bring the kayaks. On Sun, Jan 2, 2022, 3:46 PM elaineginader <elaineginader@...> wrote:

I don’t work Saturdays, both taillights work but…oh yeah, no boat to paddle or motor. The only boat I have has six holes in the bottom and it’s colder than a well diggers..shovel so no boat repair going on at this time. I have to fill bolt holes from the old hull drains as the new ones don’t match. Anyone got a heated garage????
