Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek at Ono Beach is my favorite Winter Coast Paddle. Bad news is that just a month a go, I fell and broke my leg (femur). This resulted in some titanium hardware. I am now getting around well

Spring is in the air...
Sad that we won't have a show at Depoe Bay. Maybe it calls for a regular Toledo April messabout?

Usually on the smaller side, but otherwise almost anything. Look at John's pictures, such as this group. The time is chosen for the water to be flowing out, so there is a knot or two of free motion.

The 10-day forecast (extrapolated a day) is showing the 5th of Nov to be under the influence of the Pacific High pressure. This can be great weather for being out on the Yaquina River. Elaine, we look

Don't forget the canoe trip that really went bad in "Deliverance" (1972). (The book was adequately scary, also). As a bonus, you get Dueling Banjos. When I was a kid, I went to see "Down to the Sea in

Toledo Wooden Boat Show August 19-21st
This seems to be a quiet topic. It has been so long the snow must have melted in AlmostCanada? I hope lots of people are planning to display at Toledo to get this all going again. I will be there Frid

This is complicated. The AIS (or GPS) with NMEA0183 only sends out a stream of sentences. You want those sentences to get to a program, like OpenCPN, as they will be processed into useful stuff, like
