Nicely done Andrew,
I must say I would never paint my boat that color. Unless I was going to grass it up for duck hunting. But it looks build for paddling which is the point, so who cares what color

Can you do that, Jove. Won't they chop off you hand, or some other valuable part, for sharing photos with outsiders? ;o)

We did an Elk City messabout during spring tides in the summer of 2003. I got up to the bridge at Pioneer on the Yaquina in the McKenzie Skiff before there were too many logs across the river, but

Something boat related this time!
I'm teaching a friend from work to build Skin-on-Frame canoes. We finished one last month and tested it at Cascade Gateway Park

Port of Toledo had some crazy pictures of Depot slough on their Facebook page. Water was up over the paver path by where we camp. Not sure if they posted them anywhere else.

Mark's idea of 2-days could be interesting with a first day involving going upstream on the Yaquina R., Big Elk Creek, or both. The water supports going quite a distance, with the farthest being on

Hi John,
Or, since we've missed so many messabouts this year, you could make it a multi-day outing, with folks coming for either/both days. Camping in vehicles or boats at the docks? If one day on

I'm working on getting all the Coot outdoor events scheduled for next year. Looking at the tide predictions I see that the moon and sun are gonna get together and give us some _really good_ new moon

Thanks, Andy. I've been afraid to go up the McKenzie to see what it's like up there. So much that I knew will be gone. <sigh>
The "completed" signs may be saying that the property has been checked
