When hobbies collide
I came across this 3D print design for a nerf-firing "Pirate cannon" that looks really neat. Every once in a while, I think how neat it would be to have some form of sea battles at boat shows, even if

Re: Touching on a prop situation
Hi Cal – I have been using the Kipawa prop with a 100AH lithium battery on SCAMP. With the Minnkota 45 at 40% it runs a little under 2mph for 3 to 4 hours and is always over 13 volts when I get back

Touching on a prop situation
I have noticed that the Newport motors- the one I bought anyhow- have the prop a touch big for the amps available. The web input replies seem to indicate that as well. I don't think it is very much

Re: Small Craft Advisor ceases print publication! Josh Colvin moved to Moscow!
Doggone commies raiding our brain trust….oh wait, Moscow IDAHO! Not so bad but the map shows it to look like a dry hole of boating. Sort of in between waters and close to none. Or so it appears.

Small Craft Advisor ceases print publication! Josh Colvin moved to Moscow!
It's a sad day. <sigh> I think I subscribed to SCA in the first year of its life, Way Back When. I wasn't a plank owner, but I was an early adopter. I've sure enjoyed the mag since then. It really has

Re: Cardboard Boat Racing
I can start taking orders for the 2023 Coot Calendar any time. I'll have to check with the print shop, but I wouldn't be surprised if I have to raise the price a tad this time.
Case has at least one

Re: Cardboard Boat Racing
I have a coot burgee for sale if John doesn’t have any. They are $25.00, the coot price as always.
I purchased what Kay Patterson had left, which weren’t many.

Re: Cardboard Boat Racing
John, how do we get a Coot Burgee? And, when will you be taking orders for the 2023 year? Like them so count me in. FYI, I’m in the layout process for canvassing the bottom of the 49 Larson skiff.

Cardboard Boat Racing
Looking at my photos of the Cardboard Boat Races at the Toledo Show I was disappointed that I didn't see a single Coot burgee. Some of us are still fit enough, and young enough -- at heart anyway --
