Re: Circumnavigation around Sauvie Island
Thanks everyone for the news of your trips. Sorry I wasn't able to make it. I can't wait to see some of the pictures. What do you think of adding this to the Coots calendar for next year.

Thanks Mark-
I was surprised (and saddened) not to see you at Sand Island.
Val and I stuck with the script, so we landed at Coon Island Sunday late and stayed the night. There were at least 3 boats

We had a good 3 days and nights circumnavigating Sauvies Island.
It was an easy cruise 12 miles downstream from Caterpillar I. to Sand Island and welcomed by Earl, Bo and Dan before sundown.

Re: Gauge Number from eBay ---- Wiring question, about 24 volt and "bridges" -- update for today
Didn't you install the ammeter shunt in the common ground, like we had it for the separate two-battery banks? That'd give the true current draw.
I'm glad the serial/parallel single bank worked out as

We should be getting some reports soon, and Earl is gonna send me some pictures to publish.
Only three boats showed up at Sand Island the first night -- Reach of Tide, with Myles and his wife,

Sorry for the tardy reply. I've been under the weather and uninclined to get my brain organixed enough to write... Better now.
I'm ashamed to admit that I've only had Whimsy out once since I got her.

Didn't replace the higher limit amp meter, still the 150 amp reading for now. I'm just replacing the fuse for accessories, and using the ciggie lighter with amp gauge. Mentally double the draw, and

Circumnavigation around Sauvie Island
To those that participated on the cruise these last couple days. You went at the right time especially with the smoke coming back. If you can we'd love to hear about it.

Hey, Jove, had a cheap to do idea for an easy voltage check. The cigarette plug got a lighted double USB plug that also shows the voltage from my 12 volt reducer for lights, smokes, or whatever. So,

Re: John's Classic 12
I'm very interested to hear from John also.
I built a 18"x22" kayak (too narrow for me honestly) It ended up under 28 lbs. Which is wonderful, I want to build another one but think I'd go for 15'x24",

Re: CLC kayak
Have more vacation time coming up this week, next it says to bevel the edges but I suspect we need to sand the joints a bit first.
