If you didn't follow Team Mastgate's Spot track, here's an image of Andrew and Tom's route across the Strait. The flood tide and west wind gave them a detour onto the scenic route.

Victoria BC is worth it. What a place! There is another team from Oregon here, Team Forest Grove in a Montgomery 15. Steve and Tom. They made the harbor before the tide change.

Brandon,
I totally agree with you about beautifully donewooden boats. I have seen some made with carefully chosen wood and meticulouslyfinished with a clear finish, which were absolutely amazing.

When using the oils I assume you use a primer. Ever put any penetrol into either the primer or finish paint when putting it on epoxy?

I have three basic levels of paint I use for marine applications. And one I intend to try out.
1. Value option: oil-based porch & deck paint. I've always used Miller, but they've changed suppliers -
