Any one know the clearance distance for the M17 taking into consideration the largest hoop?

I went to measure my machine for the largest hoop, as I am doing my first project needing that hoop. A measurement of 31" from the front of the bed of the sewing machine. I did not measure using the embroidery arm as it is less than what the largest hoop travels from extreme top of the hoop to the bottom. My work space is about 32" wide so the front of the embroidery arm is out from the table - I only realized that when we had to move the machine forward an inch or so so that the RE 46 hoop would NEVER hit the wall. As the machine is so heavy and has good rubber boots, it doesn't slide easily, so I think I'll be OK for a while.
I will also mention to anyone who is "thinking" about buying one of these machines that it is AWESOME. I love it so far, but then it's only been in my possession for days and I've been to busy with appointments and other things to actually do anything with it. However, my husband had a shirt that needed to have the collar turned as he wore out the good side. He removed it and put it on a box next to where the new machines home, so it was the trial to see how well it stitched. So now that shirt has a new lease on life and the job was one of the easiest repairs I've ever done - maybe that was because I didn't have to remove any stitches before fixing it. It was well worth the 5 month wait for it's arrival. Cheryl - Saskatoon |

Thank you so much. I put the tallest design I could fit into the hoop and basted without thread and your dimensions were accurate. I still have a couple of inches to spare.
Another question: We are suppose to get the Stitch Composer software but I cannot seem to find it. Where should it be? Carolyn 🌹 |
