digitizer MBX V5
Hi Jim, I recently had to buy a new computer and it is Windows 11. Will Digitizer MBX V5 work with Windows 11? Or what is the digitizing software that Janome 15000 users are using now? Thanks, Donna in Sunny AZ |

Per your second post, you are having trouble installing MBX V5 on Windows 11. That version is no longer supported, so it's unlikely that it will be updated to be compatible with 11. I know that Wilcom Hatch is compatible with Windows 11 and it is similar to MBX V5, so the learning curve would be easier. The main problem with digitizer software on new Windows versions usually comes down to the security key software, even if no dongle is required. Janome's Artistic Digitizer might also be an option, although Windows 11 is not mentioned in its system requirements.

Donna, I run MBX v5 on my Windows 11 computer just fine. When I purchased this new computer it was a Windows 10 and I followed the directions exactly for deauthorizing the old computer, which was also a Windows 10 operating system. I was then able to transfer the license to the newest computer with no problems. The instructions for how to transfer your program are attached to this email. I also run Hatch 3 and the Dime PEP software programs, and use them all without issues. I do know for a fact that the old MBX programs that use a physical dongle will not run on a Windows 11 system. ~Favymtz On Sat, Mar 11, 2023 at 1:54 PM Jim Stutsman via groups.io <onlinesewing=icloud.com@groups.io> wrote: Per your second post, you are having trouble installing MBX V5 on Windows 11. it could be other software preventing it also. Third party internet security can be a real bug bear (scuse the pun) with software like v5 etc. Security software can block new software as potentially malware. The only way to
check that is to shut the security soFtware down, whilst you install v5. Or disable 3rd party software and enable windows own security, which will ask you if you want to install which 3rd party security rarely does.
