I am getting an error with booting up my embroidery machine. I do what it says, but it does not get pass this error. I remove the bobbin cover/case and dust...I hold up the pressure foot level as much as I can and reboot the machine..it takes me a few times and finally the machine is happy. I tend to leave the machine on for  couple of days so I can get some projects finished. This is a busy time for me..I do all handmade gifts to family and friends..the closes repair shop is a 2 hour drive..around trip 4 hours. Any suggestions? Thank you

This message is a catch-all. It just means that the self-test the machine performed when you turned it on did not pass. There are several things tested, and the message does not say which one failed. The 11000, and I’m sure the 11000 SE, has a tendency to report this after it has been in use for a few years. The most frequent cause is the sensor that determines whether you have the right presser foot installed. It sticks in the wrong position. Over the years I learned that it’s caused by the knee lever linkage. it’s an easy fix for a technician, but it does require a bit of disassembly to do it. To get past the error try this. Put the knee lever in the machine. When the error comes up, turn off the machine, wiggle the lever, then turn it back on. Sometimes you can also loosen the sensor by slamming the presser foot down, instead of gently lowering it. When it gets too annoying have your local technician adjust it. If she’s not seen the problem before, tell her to just make slight changes to the knee lift on the right end at the top of the machine, while using the diagnostic for the presser foot height sensor.

Thank you...I will try your suggestions.

Try raising the needle bar as far up as it will go while the machine is off.  Turn it on and the message may not show.  This is what I need to do to my 10001 in order to not get that message.  Hope this works.

KewelAunty , I appreciate your reply to my problem....I have tried many times to raise the needle bar ..but it will not move any higher.

Unfortunately that error message is common to all the machines from 10000-15000. I have found that if I put the presser foot down and the needle down before I shut it off (11000 & 15000) it doesn't do it but once in a while.

For your 11000, turn it off then use the handwheel to lower the needle all the way down. That has worked a number of times for me.
