Washaway Thread

I have never used it in an embroidery machine. The spool I have no longer has the name on it, and I have had it for years. I am interested in hearing what brands everyone is using. Linda

Does anyone have issues with "washaway thread"?????????????? I'm somewhat frustrated; been using on a Hoop Sisters project; and thread keeps breaking. None of the other threads I'm using are doing this? This just just started happening a couple of days ago. I'm using cut-away stabilizer and Hoop Sisters "shape"; I'm making a beach bag. Curious to hear if anyone else has these issues and is there a "better brand" of washaway thread????????? I'm not sure what brand I'm using. As always, thanks so much for any feedback. Yep…agreed. IMHO, anything water soluble needs to be stored as environmentally correct as possible. Too dry and it might break…too humid and it might melt. Just my thoughts. I live in hot and humid Florida with indoor A/C, so my water soluble thread is kept tightly sealed in a zippy bag, and inside another container with a snap on lid. My Solvy, vilene, etc., are kept in a tub with a snap on lid. My air/water erasable pens are kept tightly capped when I’m not drawing with them. Even with all that, I can’t be sure how much the water soluble products dry out from A/C, or absorb humidity while I am using them.

June, I second the opinion that it should be kept very dry. I keep my spools in a smaller Ball canning jar. :) Ceil

Wash away thread needs to be stored inside a sealed zip style bag because it dries out very easily. Also try reducing the tension to see if that keeps it from breaking. |

June, I've used Superior Threads brand (they might have two weights, both worked well) with no issues. Ceil
