Thanks for the add. I am a vintage sewing machine enthusiast  and tinkerer. I am looking for the service manual for a MC6000 and part number for the cogged belt. Is there anything complicated about changing the belt in one these that a person needs to be aware of? Thanks, JimAbCan

Your best hope for the belt may be a grizzled dealer fighting against retirement. The 6000 goes back quite a ways - it was on its way out when we started in 1987. Janome typically does not keep parts forever on older models. For example, parts for the Memory Craft 8000, which debuted in 1990, were becoming unavailable well before we retired in 2011.
