Is there a 17000 on the horizon?
Just wondering if any of you in the know have any inkling of a new machine coming out. I have an 11000 and a 12000 and am waiting to upgrade again. The 15000 has been out now for 3 (?) years? |

Well my question is,,, how can they make anything better than this? I love my 15000. Pat On Sat, Mar 12, 2016 at 6:19 AM, akerslucy@... [janome12000] <janome12000@...> wrote:

Pat, I totally agree with you. I can't imagine what if anything Janome could possibly improve or upgrade on the 15000. I absolutely love my 15000. This machine constantly amazes me and exceeds my expectations. Having a great dealer doesn't hurt either. Bernie / SC |

Lucy, I don't know for sure either, but they are discontinuing the 12000 and introducing the 14000 which I just purchased and is almost a duplicate of the 15000, so I think they are trying to cut down on their inventory of these machines to make room for a newer model. I can't get over what a grand machine these 9mm machines are. I love the way it holds onto the thread between seams - no more nests at the beginning of the machine - and that is just a tiny feature in comparison to all the features it has. I have the 11000 also, and this new 14000 is head and shoulders above the 11000! Ann C |

I too, love my 15000 and wonder what more can there be. I’m here to tell you that there is probably quite a bit more, but we just haven’t thought of it. One being the digitizing on the machine, that Brother and BabyLock have - can’t say that interests me, or I’d own one of them too. There will be a new machine, because that is how companies keep in business. Folks like NEW, SHINY toys and if they don’t change something, we would never buy a new one, until something breaks that cannot be fixed. I’m hoping that there isn’t a new machine for at least another year. I’ve got to much other stuff to learn - i.e.: My Artistic SimpleCut Software, Digitizer MBX v5, Floriani Total Control U, and so much more on my 15000. That’s a lot of information to get my brain around so another new machine isn’t needed in my world, but I know that there will be one sooner or later.

Actually, I’d like to see the hoop fastening mechanism that is on the 500e be incorporated into any upcoming combo models. It’s a lot more stable than the current method used on all other Janome machines.

I joined this group just to ask the same question about a successor to the 15000. We're debating between the Elna 920/Janome 14000 and the 15000. Does anyone familiar with the 14000 know if there's any difference between it and the 15000 other than the size of the screen and the number of stitches and embroidery patterns? But we're not in any urgent hurry and if a new TOL were to drop by the end of the year we would gladly wait. Thanks in advance. |

The 14,000 is no way near the 15,000. The Elna does not have all of the hoops of the 15,000 nor does the 14,000. If you choose the 15,000 is a much better choice of all 3.

I just wish they would make a 4x4 hoop for the 15000.

Thanks gang. Anyone know the general timeline of Janome TOL releases so we can calculate whether three years or so between models is their pattern?

I agree. I use the 4x4 and the 5x7 the most.

When the 11,000SE was discontinued and they were in the process of offering the 12,000 Janome took a survey asking what many of us would like in a new and upcoming machine. One of the biggest requests were for larger hoops. They gave it to us, then the 5x7 hoop was offered which in reality no one reqested. Now everyone wants smaller hoops. does not make sense to me. You can buy a 5x7 hoop and get a CD with designs along with it and there is also an awesome 8.7 x 8.7 hoop with the quilting program that comes with the 15,000 and we have that hoop in our 12,000. Why would you go back in technology when machines like Babylock and Pfaff have had larger hoops long before we got ours. Remember a 4x4 hoop does not give you a 4x4 sewing area and neither does a 5x7 give you a 5x7 sewing area. Why not wish for a machine that does more stitches instead of our limit of 100,000 stitches and more with those of you lucky enough to have the 15,000. Right now we all have the best machines out there and the best of both worlds.

I would like a little more editing to be available on our machines. And the ability to create a cut file in our MBX Version 5. -----Original Message----- From: JoAnn Novak vinjosew@... I don't have a 15000, so maybe my comment shouldn't be voiced here.
However, as far as a 4x4 hoop is concerned, it is what I use the most. I monogram, and embroider on the upper left front of Tees and shirts. It is the ideal hoop for these things, as is a 2x2. Perhaps the hoops on the 15000 are exactly the size commonly cited, but on my 350e, they're actually larger and have a great sewing field. Just MHO. Not meaning to cause waves on the calm seas. If I were to get a 15000, I would have to keep my embroidery-only machine. MarieD |

What I'd really like to have are Accufil files shaped like puzzle pieces so you could have interlocking stippling. The best we can get at this point is to follow a brick arrangement but we still end up with channels in one direction. Unless someone else has figured out another pattern, I use the largest stippling block but orient the quilt on 45 deg so those channels aren't so obvious.

I dont think it would be going backwards just adds flexibility I want all sizes, and more the better but I do love love the big hoops! But sometimes i want to do a small area and dont want to waste stabilizer plus its sometimes easier to hoop using a small hoop in a tight area, when the FA10 is too small it would be nice to have the aditional 4x4 as an optional hoop.

I was just wishing for those today!!

Whats really nice about the small FA10 hoop the way it is oriented you can use the free arm to to do onsies so a 4x4 frame would be so nice for small tees

Hi Just wondering whether you've checked out the files area - there's an interesting item in there about how to save stabiliser. If you employed this trick you'd be able to sew small items in whichever large hoop you wanted to. I haven't tried it yet but I certainly will at some point. Hope it works for you. Jane |

I love Floriani poly thread for embroidery. What is the Floriani Total Control U, and is it aligned with the 15000? Sounds like something I need to learn about.
