Instruction Manuals for the Horizon Suite Software

They are all in the files in this group. You just print them. They have already been converted to .pdf.

> I better find out how to print out all the help files and put them in one place Instead of printing them out why don't you just print them to a pdf printer - I use the free PrimoPDF. You just install it as a printer, and then when you print you select it and it creates a PDF file. It lets you append your next print out to the already created PDF too - so you just keep printing to the same file. Then you would be able to search for what you want using the Edit - Find or Advanced Search in Acrobat, or just print them all in one go if that's what you wanted to do. You could also create your own index in Word or Open Office for instance, print that to convert to PDF and then add that to your file too. I just added the printouts by each tool to the files for the Horizon Suite Software. There is one for the AcuFil, Embroidery Link, Pattern Combo, Screen Saver and Stitch Composer. Enjoy. Carolyn |

I agree that they do fall short. I was hoping for some stuff on YouTube but not much substance there. I know there are help files, but I like a good manual and short cuts and tips and stuff. I better find out how to print out all the help files and put them in one place. Maybe that will help. I hate searching all over the place for instructions.

Nice thing about PDF files is you can read them on devices that read PDFs. Saves having to print out the manual. I also have the 15000 manual on my devices.

Carolyn,Thank you for this! I've been hoping to find a way to easily print out PDFs. I printed mine out one by one and it seemed to take forever. I punched holes in it and have it in a 3-ring binder. Now to read it!Ceil

Once I did this for all the help files I then combined them into a 167 page manual with and index. Could not post the document in the files folder here because it is too large (20 mb). If anyone knows of a way I can do this, let me know. BTW: I use a free pdf program called PDF995. The program will allow me to print files in .pdf, combine and extract pdf documents aas well as other features. Carolyn |

There are "help" files for the Horizon
Suite, experimenting today and really would like a class taught
at the dealer to go along with it. Going to look into that,

I just bought the 12000. I had debated between the two, but from all I'm reading, I think the 12000 might have fewer problems and it certainly has all the features I need. From: "Anne Parker annegparker@...

I've worked with computers since the 1970's and these days applications usually have at last some basic help info within them. Hi by the way - I've only just joined the forum - as I've decided to buy a machine to replace my Swiss Elna Diva from the 1990's. (Top of the range at the time at £1000) I think it blew a capacitor or resistor yesterday - a loud 'poof' and white smoke from the casing which was extremely hot at the back of the machine. It all still works, but think it's telling me it's time for a new machine! I hope to find out all about these 2 Janome's so I can make a comparison and then make a decision - after I've tried them both of course. Anne http://www.sewingtales.wordpress.com/

Amen. I think that is one area where Janome really falls short.

I was messing around with the Horizon Suite software for the 15000 and I was wondering if there were some really good instruction manuals or videos around on this. I don't have hours a day to play and futz with it and would like some information. Thanks.
