Built in designs FA10-14&15
kwtoquilt
I have recently bought the 12k and am playing with some of the built in embroidery designs - so thought I'd start with something small, quick and what I thought was fun so stitched out the fringed flower designs.
After I had worked out that the red line on P116 indicated a cutting line and would not stitch out, I cut as instructed. Flower FA10-14 unravelled from the centre when I gave it a gentle tug - just as I suspect it would when being washed. FA10-15 worked ok with two different colour threads to sew the fringe but became one large loop when using the same colour threads. I suspect it had not stitched properly in the centre and as such the stitches are not anchored. Has anyone else had the same experience and if it is a fault in the digitising who do I contact about it for a fix? Many thanks Karen UK |

I've stitched them out and others have as well with no problems. One woman didn't do all the colors as she thought the machine was making an error. Make sure you onlycut the bobbin thread on the petal section.

Diane did a test of this design and it came out fine. She suggests that the problem may be in stabilizing. The center stitches will not cover the fringe if the design is pulled out of shape, and these are digitized with the fringe pretty close to the edge. Use a medium weight tear away, hooping it together with the fabric. You might also use the basting option before stitching to help hold it better.
