12000/what to keep
thistlebug <pegijane39@...>
I am selling my 11000S and want to know what hoops and feet that I purchased separately should I keep for the 12000? I will keep the CD player but in hopes that I will be able to use it in the future but, will give the clothsetter up with the machine. Peg in FL

Peg, the feet for your 11,000 are 7mm & all the
new feet in the 12,000 are 9mm so no use to you nor are your exta
hoops

The feet that came with your 11000SE will be listed in the front of the instruction book. Those should go with the machine. Any snap-on feet that you have can still be used as long as you buy an 11000 foot holder to snap them onto. None of the hoops will work, and as you noted, neither will the Clothsetter. Do keep the CD drive, as it should be usable after an upcoming update.

Jim, very interesting I have extra feet on my
11.000, which I have kept, so I will ask my dealer to get me an 11,000 foot
holder
Thank you

Sell the extra items separately from what was standard with the 11000 - that way you can recoup a bit more of your money.

Hi Jim,
I asked my dealer to order an 11K ankle for me , so I could use all my
extra feet and she said that Janome wouldn't allow it. Hmmmmmm! I really love
some of those feet that I purchased separately; what do you suggest?

I would keep all the extra feet and just call another Janome dealer and order a high shank ankle. We stock high and low shank ankles all the time. Just another thing our customers misplace and need. You just have to remember 7mm opening for olf feet not 9mm. Robin in Maine. --- In janome12000@..., songnbird@... wrote:

Janome wouldn't allow it??? That's ridiculous, on two counts:

1. None of the new 9mm accessory feet are available yet. 2. Using the 11000 foot holder the existing 7mm feet fit perfectly, even the 1/4". The only risk from using those feet would be to try to use them with a 9mm stitch. But that's a risk we've always had, for example not using the 1/4" foot with a zigzag stitch. I'm pretty sure that Janome doesn't have any hidden cameras in the machine that will detect what feet you are using. Don't post pictures of you using the feet to Facebook and you should be fine! If your dealer is going to play the "We know what's best for you" card you can always order the foot holder online from Brubaker's: www.brubakersewing.com Talk to Amy, explain that you heard about it on Yahoo, and maybe even get a discount. --- In janome12000@..., songnbird@... wrote:
