550e question.

I am having trouble with some patterns, getting the largest one downloaded to a usb drive, when I click on the pattern part that would need the 36b hoop, I get a message the design is too large for the hoop selected, and it is on the 20b hoop. I have embroidery editor, and I am trying to edit the pattern so it is on the correct hoop. The you tube videos on this do not cover this issue, any suggestions, or step by step instructions links?

The problem most likely is that the design isn't in the right orientation, so neither the program nor your machine will be able to see it.
Unfortunately Janome didn't foresee this being a problem from many digitizers and didn't account for being able to rotate designs adequately.
My suggestion is that you download the free Tool Shed program from DIME, and you can open the design there and rotate it to fit your hoop.
