Janome recommendation
Mary- The most common reason for this is that the design (on your computer) is not rotated so that it will fit the orientation of the hoop you have chosed. Turn the design 90degrees, save it to the US

Serger issues - and flat lock seams
Cheryl- I have never been able to do a flatlock stitch with 4 threads. You would leave a ridge with that 2nd needle so I do not believe it's possible. Using 3 threads, and some tensions loose (needle)

Serger Stitches: Flat-locking
Try stiffening the organza with some liquified water-soluble stabilizer scraps. I think because the organza is limp/wimpy is part of the reason you are having issues. Try increasing your lower looper

The MC10000 will not read a Jef+ format either. It will only read .sew or .jef format designs. I agree with Favymtz - use a copy/paste method to transfer designs to your compact flash card for the mac

Where is the place to buy Janome feet?
You could try Ken's Sewing Ctr (Muscle Shoals, AL - they ship pretty fast if it's in stock), Sew Steady (for a Westalee foot): or Kentucky Quilts (Bowling Green, KY also ships quickly) is where I got

Jeanniett- I know that using inches is "easier" if you have not gotten involved with using metric measurements - but I'd like to suggest not making the change and leaving your measurements as metric s

No - your 3503 won't take the 7.9x14 hoop and actually - it's max stitch field is 5.5x7.9 so the larger hoop that you got with your machine will not work either. I'm guessing this was a private sale a

S9 tension issue
Toni- Try lengthening your stitch length a little. That should help with the puckering. I'm not sure what it is about the bobbin thread that you think the tension there is too tight. It's much easier

Jim may have more info about this - but I think if you turn the handwheel backwards about 1/4 turn and have the presser foot up that the tensions are supposed to be released. This works on my 644D Jan

Looks like your upper tension is too loose. When you are threading your machine, the presser foot much be in the "UP" position to open the tension disks and let the thread seat properly between them.

Vicki- You might try calling your dealer and see if the machine is ready and if you can do curb-side pickup for it. The only issue would be if you wanted to try it out before taking it home with you.
