Am I right in thinking that the bobbin thread should be tighter tension than the top one? I don't see any top thread on the underneath of my embroidery designs,a tiny bit of bobbin thread shows on top

This has happened to me a few times until I realized that the bobbin wasn't pushed down enough. Now that I make sure that it is pushed all the way down ,I've never had the problem .
