Built in designs on 12000
You can use HL to transfer designs from the machine to your PC via the direct cable. The process is the same as when you're transferring to your machine. Open HL on your PC, and go to the File Manager

Ready to Toss this out the window!!!
This is the open toe Accufeed Flex foot I mentioned in my other post. Other than increasing foot pressure to the max, I don't know of anything else you can try using the narrow flex foot. https://www.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the foot. Because it's narrow, it only uses the 3 smaller, inside feed dogs. Needless to say, it's not compressing or moving as large a surface as the larger

Ah, Pictograph stitches in the Ordinary Sewing Mode....some can be adjusted smaller, but that could distort the finished stitch. For example, Pictograph Stitch #1 default is set to 9mm width and 2.5 s

Pauline, all the snap on feet should be interchangeable with the 12000. However, the Accuflex foot of the 12000 will not work with the S5. The S5 uses 202133005 Convertible Even Feed Foot instead. Jan

Foot interchangeability with my MC12000 was a big selling point for me when buying the S7. Everything is interchangeable. I use the Acufeed Flex with the 1/4" foot a lot, and not just in quilting. I g

Embroider on terry cloth towels
That's what I did, though I may have only used 1 layer of WS topping. My towel was very deep plush, so I also sprayed lightly with sizing and smoothed the loops in one direction. I let that dry first

You didn't say whether you were using the Accufeed foot or a regular foot. The few times I've used the stitch length memory feature for quilt piecing, I found it to work perfectly when I used the Accu

Thank you for all the replies and suggestions
I've wondered if the machine software automatically calculates/deducts space for a basting stitch even if you aren't going to use one. If your design, in theory, uses every mm of width/depth, would yo

Where is the place to buy Janome feet?
You have a couple of choices depending on how quickly you need it, because some Janome brand parts and accessories are on backorder due to the pandemic. There are many generic versions available, but

Hand Look
As Faviola said, there's a large conversation thread on hand look quilting, ie which stitch, what threads to use, tension settings, etc. Use the "search" box at the top of the page and it should pull

Sounds like something in that circuit board. I think a visit to the sewing machine doc is required, sorry. Jan Steiner

MC6500Pro foot
You can use that foot for attaching elastic, though it's very limited in the size of elastic it will accommodate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijLipo5FfzA Jan in MD

quilting on the 12000
The ASQ22 is the quilt hoop. It comes with magnets that clamp down and around your quilt to hold it in place. This short Janome video gives a quick demo of how it's used. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Inconsistent tension on 1500
You said it's skipping stitches. Are the "loops" really just long threads of skipped stitches, and not loops on the underside when embroidering? That can also be a foot pressure problem. I have a 1200

My Magnet Hoop
It's obviously well made and I know you're pleased with it. I can see they are different, but what are the hoop corners made of and how are they attached to the wood sides? Jan in MD
