Your opinions upgrading from MC12000 to MC15000
In a similar situation. I have the 14000 and really think I won't need anything more for a very long time. Don't think the 14000 has any upgrades available -- kind of like the red-headed step-child🤓

Basic question
You might need to change the plate. If the straight stitch plate is in place, it won't let you do the others.

An update on The Update
I have the 14,000, and I love it. It does have the automatic needle threader, and I have never had problems. My only concern is that it has had no updates. I don't know if that's important to you or n

I have the 14000 which is terrific. I'm curious, though, if any of the current upgrades will apply to our machines🤔 Jill

Gail, are you talking about th Acufil? If so, you float your quilt sandwich on top of the hoop and use the magnets to hold it in place. If you're talking about the DIME products I have no clue. I real

Thank you. Will the dual feed still work? Yes, you will still have operational dual feed. What you won't have is the ability to adjust it using the knob at the right end of the machine. Also keep in m

Stitch in the ditch foot for walking foot
I have the 14000 and thought all the 15000 feet would be able to be used; however, I'd like to find a stitch in the ditch attachment for the walking foot but it's only listed for the 15000. Is that ju

Magnets popping off the AcuFil Hoop
I'm fairly new to quilting and using the Acufil, but I've done three quilts now, from twin to queen, and have no difficulties with the magnets popping off. I quilt with the topper, soft and warm cotto

Can any of these products be used by the MC14000? It doesn't have Wi-Fi, but can the files be saved and transferred by a different method?

S9
Sue, I don't have the S9, but on my 14000 I have to use a different bobbin case which is set for embroidery tension. Is that something you need to do on the S9? (I know if I forget, it makes a mess).

Straight Stitch Needle Plate
I don't know the number on the 15000, but on my 14000 there are several quilting stitches and one is for true 1/4" (#2 in the quilting stitches). I would still measure just to be sure.
