Ceil, SewIconz lets me preview a file before opening it. I can see what the design will look like. It’s an inexpensive program I bought online. http://sandscomputing.com/products-shop/sewiconz-embroid

I don’t know Ceil. My Win10 and my programs were ok before the 1709 update. Web-wide there are tons of complaints about it. Does anyone else have this issue with just Horizon Link? Cas

That works. Thanks Valora. Is there a way to set Win10 to thumbnail or preview all files and pictures? I remember trying to set it up and gave up and used SewIconz. Cas

Fusible fleece
This is what was recommended to me https://www.bosalonline.com/in-r-form I think I used the white sew in. I don’t think it comes in fusible. It’s not fleece though, more like a thin foam. Cas

Oops, I didn’t scroll down. The Bosal In-R form does come in fusible. It is not fleece though so you would need to add a liner if you use it. https://www.bosalonline.com/in-r-form Cas

I transfer wirelessly from my Win10 PC. I have my sewing machine settings turned to WiFi on and use the find feature just as you did within HL. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries. Cas

Obsolete Janome machines? ? ?
I worry about them becoming obsolete too. I remember telling myself it’s ok to spend a small fortune since the machine would be all I’d ever need. I never thought about the motherboard wearing out. Ca

That’s what I meant, the stuff on the motherboard. LOL. I didn’t mean the piece of plastic the parts were connected to would wear out. Motherboards can be replaced if damaged, obviously. I wonder how

I quilted a fairly heavy purse before I updated. Sometimes going through 8 seams. It worked fine until I couldn't fit the purse under the body of the machine. Then I had to get my older Janome out so
