Are you using anything on the inner hoop to keep the aqua magic from slipping? If the aqua magic is slipping, then the problem you describe can happen because the registration of the design in now off

Tension problems for Ordinary Sewing
You really should be using the bobbin case with the red dot for ordinary sewing. The book is quite clear on this. Change the bobbin case and I’m sure the problem will be solved. Donna M Canada

No, there are not any written instructions. I used double sided tape. The non-skid matting is attached to the bottom of the inner hoop with the double sided tape. I think pictures are worth a thousand
