Blue and Pink Janome Bobbins
I don't know the actual answer - if there is one. I always thought they were just different colours so you could identify what type/weight of thread you had on them. So you could use pink for say ordi

Cat I was just thinking the same thing regarding it being a heat sensor. Just curious. The thought of having a sensor in my car that would take over if I got too close scares me - what if I rely on it

Yes Tina - it does say that - and it also says similar on the packagaging. But there are lots of us using the QB-S foot on the 12000 and 15000 with no problems. In fact I don't know of anyone using it

I totally agree with Jim. Adjusting the bobbin tension is really a last resort, especially as we get 2 bobbin cases at different tensions with the machine. If having tension issues the very first thin

Congratulations on your 'new' machine. I use a separate thread stand for large cones of thread and just feed from that to the normal thread path. You can just put your large cone in a screw top jar wi

Bobbin Tension
Glad you got it sorted Deb. Maybe though you could have tried the overall top tension adjustment setting ? You can of course use a favourite stitch setting to set the tension default for each stitch y

Sheryl I'm not sure your understanding the use of the thread bunny correctly. You put the thread bunny in and sew on it but don't stitch off the end of it. Place your fabric right up to the thread bun

Sharp Needle for Batik
Mags I tend to agree with you regarding the definition of Batik. I think of it as as way of printing on fabric (I remember the tie dye T-shirts!), but that fabric is now usually a closely woven one -

Hi Audrey I think Jim is talking about the take-up lever rather than the snap you hear at what I belive is called the pre-tension leaf. Have you ever taken the cover off that area to clean? If you do
