I also worked on my Cover Pro all day and cannot get it to run properly.  It has set for about a year without any use because I was sick.  Now I do believe the tension disks will not release.  No matter what I try, new needles, rethread at least 12 times.  Many adjustments on the dials and the white pressure foot adjustment.  Nothing works.  Is there possibly a manual way to release the tensions?  I did take it all apart and oiled the inside because it was really dragging.  This made it hum like a pro but still the tensions did not release.  I am kind of handy, so if anyone knows how to adjust it, I would appreciate it.

Sew the stitch a bit before you set it up, that way it knows which stitch you want.  Regards, Mary

Re: Artistic digitizer free trial???

If the Artistic deal is with Janome.com then we can’t normally buy unless it’s on sale through Janome UK.  I tried to buy MBX V5.5 from Norway because it wasn’t available in the UK, but they wouldn’t let me.  (I was prepared to take a holiday in Norway to get it but no). I did get it eventually get it it, it became an obsession, got it the same time as the HP2 Acufeed foot arrived in the UK, and I had to ask a dealer to get it from Janome UK for me, Janome UK wasn’t able to deal with me direct through the J-Shop.

Thank you very much, Ceil.   That is so helpful; I like to order from Allstitch since they are only 50 miles sw of us and I have my items the next day.   That takes the confusion out of getting the right one.

Stay safe and stay well.

I have never used Artistic, here in the group there are many comments about the difference between Digitizer and Artistic. I really do not know, sorry

I have being using Janome Digitizer for years since the 10000: ProMB and MBX 5 and tried Hatch and I really prefer MBX. I am having classes vía videos with Geraldine Guillen, and Australian ex Janome Educator and I am really surprised of the things I can do with MBX. The videos are really great and she answers whatever doubt it may arise. I really do not change MBX for ante other digitizer.

Favorite Stitch Adjustment

I just cannot get this to work.  It is turned on and I am trying to save my adjustments for #18 the Wobble stitch for knits.  I I put in my changes and hit the favorite key.  Another window opens and it is suppose to say Save fav. Setting.  Mine says Read favorite Setting and there are no stitches present.  It totally skips the Save fav. setting box.  Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?  Only thing I can figure out is maybe it is selective on which stitches you can adjust?   Is this possible?  Thank you for any help!

I’m no expert on this subject but I think this is a fantastic deal.  The on-line support that has come with this software is incredible. And if I remember correctly, any updates to the software are free. That is huge.  I purchased Bernina software many, many years ago and each update is $700 to $800.  I would like to switch to the Artistic Digitizer and would do in a snap if it was in my budget right now.

Janome/Organ needles

Patricia Ward

Some time ago someone posted the equivalent numbers and a chart for the Janome red tip and purple tip needles made by Organ.
I thought I had saved the information but now can't find it.

Could someone please repost that information; I need some needles for embroidery and I am assuming that either the red or purple tip would be excellent for that.

Sure would appreciate the help...

Re: S9 Stitch recall

Thank you for your email, just got back to it today and watched a few UTUBEs until I found one that answered my question.  You touch the spinner on the side, then touch the little grey sewing teeth, I thought that function was greyed out, but apparently with Janome it’s not, stroll down till you find the function and apply and that’s it!  The manual is difficult to understand and the grey out area did not help.  Thanks for your help, regards, Mary

Re: Zigzag stitch on Janome 9400

Thank you for that, Tracy!  As it turns out, the bobbin was inserted as a “q” rather than a “p.”  But I ‘ll bet I also forgot to thread with the presser foot in the “up” position. So I’ll redo that as you suggested and also double-check the tension which I had played with but ended up leaving in the default mode.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this group! Thank you all so much!
