Re: AcuStitch Software

I have 10001 that I have not used in a year or more. Can’t connect to my win 10 computer. Now I am ready to let my granddaughter do some embroidery on it.

Is my little machine on the fritz? I used my Viking 6D software to create some lettering. When I brought it up on the screen of my machine, I used the edit feature to center the block of text on my project. Then when it started sewing, it started with the 4th row, putting the first letter right in the middle instead of off to the left where it belonged. If it had continued to sew that entire line, it would’ve run into the hoop! And even though it looked okay on the right side, there was no bobbin thread visible at all underneath. It had pulled the top embroidery thread under, making it almost look like chenille letters on the wrong side. I have pictures, but don’t know how to add them.
I have a 12000, but it’s just so handy to use my 350e when I have a small project like this. Thanks for any insight anyone might have!!

Yes, it is the P foot - and I found a flaw on it after I took it off. (This P foot has a plastic half circle at the bottom.) But I also found another hopping foot - no letter identification on it at all - but it's a metal half circle and when I attached and used it, no chirping sound is audible.
So, I'm going to take back the flawed P foot - as I found a worn spot on the shaft.

Re: Is my 15000 registered

Start by trying to register here: http://www.janome.com/members/?ReturnUrl=/register
If it has already been registered it will give you an error, and you don’t need to do anything further. There is no warranty, other than what might be offered by the dealer you bought it from. Assuming that you did buy it from a dealer. If you do get lucky, and it has not been registered, then you can claim to be the first owner for warranty purposes. This is rarely checked by servicing dealers, in fact I’m not sure the dealer even can check.

Is my 15000 registered

I bought a used 15000. And I want to check to see if it is registered with Janome.
How do I do this? Is it important?
Thank You

Has anyone ever used 28wt thread on their 15000?  What for and do you put it on bobbin or top?

Hi Viola

Janome UK quoted me £29 GBP which I thought was very reasonable when you consider the price of some other machine add ons and accessories.

Yes both the 12000 and 15000 apps will have the video magically appear when it’s ready.

Jim, will those who already have the app get the additional video? Can't remember how that works.

Re: 6600 P problem

Jim Stutsman

The spring inside the foot holder (the part that is held on the machine by a screw) that grips the bar on the foot is bent or broken. I’ve found that the fastest, best solution is to buy a new foot holder. They’re not expensive. I think this happens if the presser foot is lowered over a foot that is not quite lined up with the foot holder.

The feet fall off the ankle Is there a simple solution. It is like they don’t snap onto the ankle. I thought it was anew foot but the ones that came with the machine do the same. If I don’t touch it or raise the pressure foot up it will stay in place but if I lift it up to remove the item I am sewing it falls off. It’s just started. I thought the upper feed mechanism was hitting the red red release. But it is in place and doesn’t hit anything.
Any thoughts?

Yes, it's a Windows program that produces JEF design files. The machines it supports are shown in the top left corner of this PDF:

Does this software work for the 120000?

Re: AcuStitch Software

Jim Stutsman

Yes, it will also go in that app. It will be a few weeks while we get it done.

Re: AcuStitch Software

Thank you Jim.  Might Diane’s video be included in the 12000 app too?  It is a fantastic resource and I’m pretty good with instruction manuals but after getting your app I’ve got so much more out of my machine.  I still find things I’d forgotten the machine can do each time I browse through it.  The quilt binder video in FootBook was a life saver too!

Thanks
Lynne
