For Nancy and anyone else who missed the original post #4405, here's a rerun:

After almost a year in development, we are happy to announce our video guide for
the Janome Horizon Memory Craft 12000, Volume 1. This volume covers the sewing
functions of the machine, including all of the SET screens as well as all of the
Application (T-shirt) screens. We've also included 3 bonus videos. The guide is
provided on an interactive DVD, which can be used on any computer that has a DVD
drive and a web browser, Windows, Mac or Linux. The information in the videos is
either covered in much greater depth than the owner's manual, or is not included
in the manual at all.

We've prepared a sample video to give you some idea of what they are like.
Because of bandwidth restrictions, we have greatly compressed it. This results
in much lower quality, but all of the content is there. Here's the link for the
sample:
http://12kvideo.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html

The introductory price of the video guide is $39.95, with free shipping
worldwide. However we have prepared a special page for members of this group
where you can get a $10 discount, bringing it down to $29.95. Here's the link
for the member page:

We also have a kindergartener and her mom glued 100 sequins on her shirt. If one of us would have thought of it, I would have been embroidering 100 of something on her shirt too!! Her sister will be a kindergartener next year, so the opportunity is still there for me!! However, I did just embroider 45 in the hoop sucker holder valentines for both of them with names of each classmate on them. Now their older sister has asked me to make a few for her "best" friends. We nana's will do most anything for them!! Have a wonderful day!

I agree with you as I am one of them and loved the slow pace of that time, when most of us kids were out playing or doing things without having cell phones or computers to control us like what they are doing to this generation. We had rock n roll parties at deaf school as we could feel music, lots of fun!

Wingneedles for Embroidery

Mary Langford

Jim,
Is it ok to use wingneedle embroidery files in the 12000?  Thread n Scissors created some really beautiful designs I'd like to be able to use.  If the wingneedle fits comfortably through the plate when the needle is advanced by hand, is it safe to use?

Thanks for your help.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to the DVD
I will be out of the country for a few weeks, so when I come back, the DVD has probably arrived. It comes from the second batch, by the time I woke up, the first batch was sold out. We are 6-8 hours ahead here in Holland (depending on where you are in the US) So I was asleep when you announced it.

Have a good weekend,

Re: JIM: Announcing the Horizon Memory Craft 12000 Video Guide

Thanks Jim and Diane. I've ordered my copy and looking forward to receiving it. As I was in Arizona when you launched, I had to be patient and wait until I got home to order, so think I might be in the second printing group. While in Mesa, AZ, my friend and I took in a few classes at Mulqueen's Sewing Centre. Learned a lot and refreshed what I already knew, but there is so much more to learn about the 12000.
