Re: Travel machine / HP foot and plate
suerevere@ymail.com <srevere@...>
The HP foot and plate are also standard with the Horizon Quilt Maker Memory Craft 15000. It is available as an optional kit for the Memory Craft 15000. I bought this kit after the dealer did my free update on my 15000 - which I am selling, btw, as I have a multi needle and no longer need my wonderful 15000 which only has about 35 hours of actual stitching. PM me if anyone is interested -- LOTS of extras

It does sew normal and is flat when lowered. I just found it odd. Thank you for your response. Sharon

The foot snaps on to the foot holder by lowering it onto the bar. That is the only attaching point. Because the OV foot has a screw on the back, the back is heavier than the front, so it may hang down when raised. However it should sew flat when lowered. What you describe seems normal, but if you think there is something wrong you should see your dealer to confirm it's correct. |

Re: Horizon 15000 after update.
This is not a feature of the update. It could be due to the use of a very heavy grease applied during servicing. It's definitely something your dealer should address.

Can’t say I have noticed this since upgrading to Quiltmaker v3. On Sun, 7 Jan 2018 at 00:22, Virginia via Groups.Io <Fmjfrazier=aol.com@groups.io> wrote:

Re: Horizon 15000 clear view 9 mm 1/4 inch foot

Thank you Jim for moving all of us to the new format.
I have a question about the ¼ inch clear 9 mm foot, OV. When I put in on, the back hangs down. I have never seen a foot that does that and was wondering if that’s the way it’s supposed to fit on the presser foot holder. I went online to the Janome website and the picture that shows the foot is in the down position. The footbook doesn’t show it attached to the machine. My regular ¼ O foot doesn’t hang in the back. In other words, the only thing holding the foot to the presser foot is the bar that attaches to the presser foot and it’s hanging from that bar in the back. Thanks for your help. Sharon |

Have checked all that, it is very odd that after about a 1/2 hour to 1 hour the speed resumes normal. Starts out what seems to be about 1/2 speed when turned on cold.

Horizon 15000 after update.
Pam O'Kane
I had my 15000 updated when the 3.0 update became available. Also had it serviced at the same time. I have noticed that when I first power up the machine it seems like it has to “warm” up to go full speed. This morning was no different, I was in the middle of a seem and it suddenly ramped up to full speed. Anyone else experiencing this? Or, does it maybe need to be serviced again? Don’t want to take it in if it is a effect of the update.

I love the capability of seeing the attachment picture instead of waiting to get the “yahoo groups” summary. So far this change to groups.io has lots of benefits. Thanks Jim!

If it’s like the 15000 you can just resume sewing, ignoring the message if you don’t want it to remember. Cas |

The hp foot and plate also come with the newest vesion of the 15000 Quiltmaker. For those people that are on the fence about purchasing the upgraded feet package, this foot is one great reason to do so.

Jim, Thanks for moving us on over to the new system. I like the new name...no harm in some self promotion given how incredibly useful the tools you have developed are as well as the answers you provide to the group. And given that I am one with several other Janome machines in addition to my 15000, broadening that out works well too.Happy New Year! Re: Help
Sue Sweet
This message in the Patchwork mode is designed to allow you to sew multiple seams of the same length. After the first seam is sewn this same/different message will come up asking you which you would like to select. By touching "same" the machine will automatically sew the same number of stitches and stop. If you choose " different" the memory of the previous seam will be erased allowing you to sew whatever the required length is. This can be helpful or annoying ! Instead I go to the " quilt" section of the stitch selection panels and choose stitch number 2 which reduces the stitch length and also moves the needle to the right for the 1/4 " seam allowance. Hope this helps. Sue
