my 12000

I was embroiderying, and left the room. The top thread ended up, winding in my bobbin area. The machine stopped,
and shut off.  I cleaned it up, but the machine will not turn back on. I have unplugged from serge protector, and
plugged into the wall. It still won't turn on.  Is there a fuse in the machine? Or what happened to my machine?

Re: Follow-up on MC15000 error

Funny, I just started having the same problem!  It started when I put on the walking foot, which I haven’t used in ages.  The only way I could solve it was to take the foot off and put it back on again.  Not sure if it was from the S9 or 15000, since I have 2 black accessory cases.  I purchased one for my 12000, and the dealer told me to keep it when I traded it.  Of course, it came with the 15000, so I put the feet for the S 9 in the extra one.  The feet are interchangeable, so could that make a difference?  Also, I’m now having trouble with the needle threader.  Had it replaced as part of the update, and it worked fine until recently .  My dealer tried it 5 times successfully before he let me take it home.  Tried different brands of thread and it didn’t seem to matter.  Now I try it once, and then thread by hand!  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

why did my top thread, end up in the bobbin area, making a very large nest,
which shut my machine down?

MBX v5

Judy Jackson

Hi Jim or Maggie
Sorry but it’s me again with my problems of not being able to open MBX v5.
I have been emailing Janome UK back and forwards and this is the latest reply (I said that my local “tech “ man said to delete and reinstall the program) ........ my issue is that I understood that if we reinstall the program I would lose an activation life? Have I misunderstood?
Judy

Good Afternoon Judy

We are sorry to hear the issue with your Digitizer Program has not yet been resolved. There would be an option to remove the software program from your PC/Laptop and then to re-install the software.

This process would not use another activation attempt as the software would be placed on the same computer.

When re-installing the software onto your computer we would advise for you to disable your anti-virus system as before.

Kind Regards

You can't use the apps on a computer, as they work only on iPhone and iPad. As long as your new device is one of those, and you are using the same Apple ID that you bought them with, all you need to do is go to the App Store. When you find one of the apps you will see a small cloud with an arrow coming out of it instead of a price. Tap that and the app will install on your new device. It's even simpler if you make a backup from your old device first. Then, while setting up the new one, you'll have the option of restoring from the backup of the old one. If you choose that option iOS will restore all of your purchased apps.

If I purchased the FootBook and My 15000 in the past, can I transfer or download them to my new computer? Or do they need purchasing again? Thank you, Pam in Central NY

I will be bringing home a new baby, the MB7, in another week or so.  Does anyone have any experience with this machine?  I see it has a much bigger bobbin.  Can the standard Janome bobbin also be used?

Your acutools need to be told that you are using USB rather than a cable. It needs to be told EVERYTIME. It’s in the settings on the tools. The S9 screen needs to be the one that looks like graph paper. Once I finally got that in my head it has worked every time.

The belt has probably jumped off track which means you will need to take to dealer.

Remove the hoop. Open the arm if it's closed. Turn on the machine. If you still get the grinding you will need to take the embroidery unit to your dealer, as it has probably gotten out of adjustment.

When you say Jim and Dian’s apps what are you referring to? How do I go about getting these apps? I’m very new to all of this. LOL

Hi,

I have the 15000 purchased as a Version 1 machine the day it came on the market in Canada. I have upgraded to V3 - Quiltmaker and love this machine. It sews like a dream, embroiders beautifully. I’m not in love with the auto threader, but I still have eyes that see reasonably well, so I don’t get my “knickers in a knot” when the threader fails me, but it is annoying since the fix was suppose to be 110% better - mine is not, but it could also be operator error which means “that’s me”. I like the WiFi and the iPad compatibility - works like a charm. The Janome APP’s are wonderful and Jim & Diane’s APP’s are second to none for learning the machine.

I also have the Skyline S9 as I go to embroidery classes and wanted a lighter and smaller machine to take with me. I had another that did the same things in an Elna 860, but I got so spoiled with the auto foot lift that I traded it for the S9. Also I love technology, so the WiFi on this smaller machine was another reason for the switch. I also purchase the table that Janome has for it, so at home I don’t use the embroidery attachment as it doesn’t fit when I have it in the table. The S7 & S9 are the same machine accept the the S7 is not an embroidery machine as well. Both machines are the acuflex feet that are also used on the 12000 and 15000 so if you purchased extras of ones not included you don’t need an extra set to go with your “take out to class” machine. I don’t think that the S5 has the 9mm feet, but that is something you could check with your dealer or perhaps on the Janome website in the “compare your machine” section.

The S7 is probably just as good for sewing as you larger machine, it just doesn’t cost as much and doesn’t have as many decorative stitches that one doesn’t use in sewing class anyway.

Since the image files originated with the Groups.io web server, my best guess is that they are a false positive. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about it. No one else has reported a problem. You may be able to flag these images as false positive. If you are able to otherwise read the email digest then it really doesn’t matter that the images are not shown.
